
Alta Partners Capital is a Venture Capital Firm established and registered at the CNMV (Spanish Securities and Exchange Commission) on 15th November 2000 under number 21.
During the period 2000-2002 Alta Partners Capital managed the venture capital fund Aurica XXI, promoted by the Spanish banks Banco Sabadell and Banco Pastor, carrying out investments in excess of 40 million euros in consolidated industrial companies.
Since the last quarter of 2002, Alta Partners Capital manages the Fons d´Inversió en Innovació a Catalunya (Invernova), F.C.R., a venture capital fund promoted by the CIDEM and the Institut Català de Finances (ICF) with an equity capital of 7,35 million euros. Invernova’s portfolio was compound by 7 companies until June 2006 when it first disvestment was done.
During 2006 Alta Partners Capital, could thanks to the achievements obtained in the previous two funds, start the establishment of a new VC fund (INVERNOVA II) which is currently in its final phase. This new fund is promoted by a group of private investors, the Institut Català de Finances (ICF) and the CIDEM, and has a prospective equity capital of 20 million euros. This fund is expected to be available to make its first investment during the first half of 2007 (aprox. in June). |
